Upon your arrival at Colombo Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our guide and transferred to your hotel in Kandy. Enroute, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a Spice & Herbal Garden, where you can explore Sri Lanka’s rich heritage of spices and herbs, and learn about their traditional uses in medicine and cuisine.
Kandy is the vibrant hill country capital of Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is renowned for the Temple of the Tooth, an iconic pink-painted temple that houses the sacred relic of the Buddha’s tooth. You will also visit the beautiful Kandy Lake, a serene and picturesque body of water built in 1807, which serves as the town’s centerpiece. Another highlight of Kandy is the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, known for its stunning variety of plants and lush landscapes.
Sri Lanka is famous for its spices, and the spice gardens along the way provide a memorable experience, showcasing the island's rich spice plantations and giving you a unique insight into the world of Sri Lankan spices.

After breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Kandy, a city rich in culture, history, and natural beauty.
Start your day with a leisurely stroll around Kandy Lake, taking in the serene views and vibrant surroundings. Wander the charming streets of Kandy to get a true sense of the city’s unique atmosphere.
Your first stop is the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Sri Lanka. This sacred temple houses the revered Tooth Relic and offers a deep dive into the spiritual and historical significance of the city.
Next, explore the world-renowned Royal Botanical Garden, a 57-hectare paradise established in 1832, featuring an impressive collection of flora, including exotic plants, orchids, and towering trees. It's one of the finest botanical gardens in the world.
Continue your journey with a visit to the Art & Craft Village, where you can admire and purchase traditional Sri Lankan handicrafts. In the afternoon, visit the Gem Museum and Factory, where you’ll learn about Sri Lanka’s rich history as one of the world’s top five gem producers. The island is known for its treasure trove of precious stones, and the unique geological structure of the land makes it a true "treasure island." You’ll have the opportunity to see how these gems are processed and perhaps even purchase a piece of Sri Lankan history.

Day Activity: Transit Day + Sightseeing in Colombo
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your journey to Colombo, the vibrant capital city of Sri Lanka. Along the way, enjoy the scenic sights and sounds as you approach this bustling metropolis.
Colombo, originally named Kolaambathota (meaning "mango harbor" in Sinhalese), was later altered by the Portuguese to honor Christopher Columbus. It is the cultural and commercial hub of Sri Lanka, although the new administrative capital is Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte. Colombo’s history dates back over 2,000 years, with records of Roman, Arab, and Chinese traders visiting the area. In the 8th century, Muslims settled here and controlled much of the trade between Sri Lanka and the rest of the world. The Portuguese arrived in the 16th century, constructing a fort to protect their spice trade, followed by the Dutch in the 17th century. The British made Colombo the capital of their colony, Ceylon, in 1802.
Day Activity: Full Day Bentota Tour
After breakfast, embark on a full day of exploration in the picturesque coastal town of Bentota, known for its pristine beaches, tranquil river, and lush surroundings. The day is yours to discover at your own pace, with a vehicle at your disposal within the city limits.
You can choose to relax by the Bentota Beach, where the golden sands and clear waters make it an ideal spot for sunbathing, swimming, or water sports. Alternatively, you might enjoy a boat ride along the Bentota River, famous for its scenic beauty and rich biodiversity.
Other attractions include visiting Sri Lankan botanical gardens, ancient temples, or the Brief Garden, a stunning landscape garden created by a famous Sri Lankan artist.
