Early morning arrival in Tashkent and transfer to the railway station for your train to Bukhara. Take the early morning "Afrosiab" train to Bukhara. Upon arrival, transfer to the city center and enjoy a leisurely walk around the historical Lyabi Hauz area, a charming courtyard surrounded by ancient buildings. Explore the Khanaka, a peaceful caravanserai with an impressive courtyard, and visit the Nodir Devon Begi Madassah, known for its beautiful tiled facade and tranquil surroundings. Overnight in Bukhara.
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Bukhara, a city rich in history and culture. Your tour includes visits to the Ismoil Samani Mausoleum, a masterpiece of medieval architecture and the burial site of the Samanid dynasty, known for its stunning brickwork; the Bolo Hauz Mosque, a historic mosque with beautiful wooden columns, located near a tranquil pool; the Ark Fortress, a massive fortress that served as the royal residence for Bukhara’s rulers for centuries, where you can explore the inner courtyards, museums, and enjoy scenic views of the city; and the Poli-Kalon Ensemble, which includes the magnificent Kalon Minaret, once used for the call to prayer, the Kalon Mosque, and the functioning Miri-Arab Madrassah, still a place of Islamic study today. Breakfast at the hotel. Begin your day with a sightseeing tour of Samarkand, one of the jewels of the Silk Road. Visit the iconic Registan Ensemble, a magnificent square surrounded by three grand madrassas. Next, explore the Gur Emir Mausoleum, the final resting place of Timur (Tamerlane), and admire the grandeur of the Bibi Khanum Mosque, once one of the largest mosques in the world. Continue to the Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis, a stunning collection of mausoleums and tombs.
After breakfast, transfer to the railway station to board the "Afrosiab" train (06:37-08:47) to Tashkent. Upon arrival, proceed with a scenic transfer to the Chimgan Mountains, a popular destination known for its natural beauty and fresh air. Enjoy some time exploring the area and soaking in the breathtaking mountain views. In the afternoon, return to Tashkent for an overnight stay. (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, embark on a sightseeing tour of Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Your tour includes visits to the Tashkent Metro, famous for its beautiful and artistic subway stations. Continue to the Amir Temur Monument and Square, dedicated to the legendary ruler Amir Temur (Tamerlane), whose influence shaped much of Central Asia. Then, visit the Courage Monument, commemorating the resilience of the people of Tashkent during the 1966 earthquake. Explore the Khast Imam Complex, home to the sacred Osman Quran, the world’s oldest Quran. Finally, visit Moyie Muborak, a historic site that is part of the Khast Imam Complex, and discover more about Uzbekistan’s rich Islamic heritage. Overnight in Tashkent. (B)
